Empowering People Throughout Their Fertility Journey

Grain Fertility empowers people going through fertility treatments by digitally organizing their IVF patient experience.

The Problem

Fertility treatments add a lot of stress to individual and family plates

It only takes one meeting with your physician to begin to understand how involved IVF treatment is. Binders of paperwork, appointments, and tasks can add stress to an already difficult experience.

We worked with Grain Fertility to build the ultimate organization tool for people going through IVF treatments. Digitally organize important documents, keep track of appointments across various doctor’s offices, share important information with loved ones, and connect with resources to help make sense of it all.

The Solution

A platform to organize your fertility journey

Grain Fertility Project Outcomes

+ DISCOVERY

For our discovery with Grain Fertility, we set out to build a Proof of Concept that ensured we could create a flexible FHIR compliant database that would serve the requirements for Iteration 1 and 2 of the roadmap.

From there, we focused on creating a scalable PDF importer/previewer with section selection and tagging to validate that the application would be able to handle several hundred users with several hundred Medical Records.

We also built a proof of concept app that gave a better idea of look and feel for UI, after we proved out the scalable, compliant database could be in place.

+ DEVELOPMENT

Grain Fertility came back to us a year after our initial discovery, and we were tasked with developing Grain Fertility’s MVP.

In just three months, we were able to launch an end-to-end MVP to market, including a major product pivot during the middle of development. The Grain Fertility MVP provides easy-to-use document management for patients, who can tag, organize, and view all their health documents in one place, and includes a timeline view for viewing all IVF related appointments across various providers. It also includes Stripe subscriptions, so the Grain Fertility team can test willingness to pay with their target market.

The MVP was built with scale in mind, so it can be iterated on based on initial user feedback.

ThinkNimble is going to help you as you [build your product], even if you think you know everything.

The ThinkNimble team was really great at being able to help me focus on what we needed for an MVP, but also didn't leave me with a ton of technical debt so I can scale. The iterative process we went through helped us not go too far down a path for a potential feature that wasn't going to be necessary. Everything that's been built was very intentional in a way to make it scalable.
